Newest Mystery Launched at Bern’s English Bookshop

Splintered Justice, the fourth of my Linder and Donatelli mysteries, was released in the US on April 15, and last night it was launched at the Stauffacher branch of Orell Füssli, Switzerland’s largest bookselling chain. Over 100 people were in the audience yesterday evening to hear Clare O’Dea, a novelist (Voting Day, Before the Leaves Fall), longtime journalist, and good friend, interview me about the new book. After nearly an hour of discussion, questions from the audience, and a short reading from the mystery, we all went upstairs for a party in the English-language section of the bookstore, where I signed a lot of books for readers. It was a wonderful evening!

A week beforehand, I received a plug for the new book in a short interview with Katt Cullen, the director of World Radio Switzerland, who also hosts the Breakfast Show. It turns out she is already a fan of A Fondness for Truth and is looking forward to reading the sequel. https://www.worldradio.ch/listen-again/listen-again/episode/justice-swiss-style-kim-hays-talks-about-her-new-book-splintered-justice/

Also in honor of the fourth book’s publication, Eduardo Simantob, a journalist for Swissinfo, wrote an article based on an interview we did about my Polizei Bern series, which was also published in German, French, and (can you believe it?) Russian.  Here it is in English: https://www.swissinfo.ch/eng/culture/american-author-sets-bern-as-a-hotbed-of-murder-mysteries/89124238

I’m traveling for the next month, but I will try not to wait so long before posting again! There will certainly be something from me at the end of June.
